The National Neurosurgery Referral Centre (NNRC) in Nepal is a state-of-the-art centre dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions. NNRC offers a full range of neurosurgical and neurovascular services, including:
Brain Surgery (including awake procedures) – for tumours, contusions, haemorrhages, and vascular conditions
Spinal Surgery – including treatment of herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and cauda equina syndrome
Hydrocephalus Management – including shunt placement and endoscopic procedures
Neurovascular Procedures – such as aneurysm clipping and treatment of AVMs
Trauma Care – emergency care for head and spinal injuries
Functional Neurosurgery – including deep brain stimulation (DBS), radio frequency ablation and other procedures to treat movement disorders, epilepsy, and chronic pain

MRI and CT scanners for detailed brain and spinal imaging
Operating microscopes and neuronavigation systems, CUSA, nerve monitoring, ultrasound, doppler for precision surgery
Functional neurosurgery equipment for deep brain stimulation and other neuromodulation procedures
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and High Dependency Unit (HDU) with continuous monitoring
Advanced surgical instruments for minimally invasive procedures including intra-operative CT, fluoroscopy and neuroendoscopy
